We are very lucky in Autahi to have big buddies from across the school that have been sharing and helping us with our learning. On Tuesday's we have been visiting our neighbours in Tautoru for some buddy reading.
It's great to be able to share our reading with our buddies. They help us when we get a little bit stuck and for some it is a good reminder of all the strategies we have been learning in class.
We also had some buddies from Mahutonga/Matariki coming to visit on Monday afternoon. They are helping us learn more about the computers and ipads. They have been showing us how to take photos to put up on seesaw so that we can share our learning with you.
Positive relationships are really important and we focus on helping to develop social and emotional skills that nourish their relationships with self and others. We learn important skills when we work together like listening to others and taking turns. They are strengthened when we spend quality time with others and make an effort to connect with people. These positive relationships help us to feel connected and provide support when we are finding things tough.
