Bubble fun!

Today we had soooo much fun with bubbles! Great to be outside enjoying the lovely weather and introducing all our new students to our school grounds. After "bubble fun" we used our bubble experience in our writing.

Matariki Celebration

 

An early start to the day - seeing in the Maori New Year. A new haka, guest speakers, breakfast, various workshops and a hangi. Community spirit in action, a great day for all.

Writing about patterns

After our visit to the senior school we did some writing about the patterns we liked. These included patterns around the home, patterns around the school, patterns we made and patterns we were wearing...

Patterns continued...

Following on from our pattern work earlier in the term. Today a group of Autahi students went to Mahutonga to check out the tessellation work they have been doing. Many of the students liked "the bright colours."
