Teen Numbers

We have been learning about teen numbers.

Things we know about teen numbers:
  • They are a group of ten and some more
  • When you write them they always start with a 1
  • They have 'teen' at the end, except for the naughty teens 11 and 12
We made teen chains to show a group of ten and some more:

Ten and 1 more is 11
Ten and 2 more is 12

Ten and 3 more is 13
Ten and 4 more is 14
Ten and 5 more is 15
Ten and 6 more is 16
Ten and 7 more is 17
Ten and 8 more is 18

Ten and 9 more is 19

  5. Common' everybody, let's sing it again
Numbers in the teen have a group of ten.
    Even 11 and 12.
    It goes like this: 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19.
    But not 20.
    Love, Gina
